ifttt: if this then that

If you haven’t heard of IFTTT I highly recommend that you check it out. IFTTT allows you to create trigger-controlled automated tasks. Though there are other sites that offer this type of service, IFTTT is the one I use the most. The best part? It’s totally free!

A few ways I use IFTTT:

  • Setting date-specific email reminders to submit expense reports
  • Posting my Facebook page updates to my personal Facebook timeline
  • Saving my Instagram photos to Evernote
  • Receiving a daily wake up call motivating me to workout

I’m also a big fan of the recipe collections… There is a Back to School collection that will mute a student’s phone when they arrive at school, a Photo Enthusiast collection that will post your Instagrams to other social media channels, a Constant Traveler collection that will let your family know when your plane has landed safely, and even an Outer Space collection, just to name a few. Absolutely brilliant.

Do you use IFTTT?
