friday favorites: handcrafted brooms

I first discovered these unique handcrafted brooms in a Martha Stewart Living article – it was love at first sight.

Originally crafted by Justamere Farms in Western Massachusetts, the broom business has now been placed in the hands of another local company: Haydenville Broomworks.

If you share my appreciation for finely crafted products, I highly recommend you check these out!

The Brooms

We absolutely love our Traditional Broom and Cobweb Broom. They not only hang on the wall beautifully, they are extremely functional. Who would’ve thought anyone could get so much enjoyment out of collecting brooms!

The Broom Making Process

The broom making process is actually quite fascinating… Haydenville Broomworks uses “techniques developed over 200 years.” Click the photos below to learn more.

I’m hoping to order some of the pot scrubbers soon. Seems like they would be perfect for my cast iron skillet!

If you could choose one of these brooms, which broom would you order first?
